A tangerine apple smoothie with banana and honey is a perfect fruit smoothie.
What makes a great fruit smoothie? The basis of a good smoothie is three different fruits and one of those fruits needs to be frozen. I always have some frozen fruit in my freezer. You can buy frozen fruits in the supermarket, but I like to freeze some fresh fruits myself.
One of the easiest fresh fruits to freeze is the banana. Peel a banana and break it in chunks. I always use freezer bags for proper hygiene.
- 6 Tangerines
- 1 Apple
- 1 Banana (frozen chunks)
- 1¼ cup fat free yogurt
- ½ cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Peel the tangerines and remove any seeds. Cut the apple, remove the core and chop in pieces.
- Combine all the ingredients in your blender and mix for 40 seconds till smooth.
- Serve the tangerine apple smoothie in two big glasses.
- Optional: you can make your own orange juice. You will need the juice from 3 oranges.
