This carrot pineapple smoothie is a really healthy one! The pineapple, honey and ginger ingredients gives your smoothie a sweet and sour taste.

I just love my carrot pineapple smoothie! Carrots are not only good for eyes, but also prevent cancer, strokes and infections. Start blending those carrots and enjoy all the sweet and sour taste of your healthy orange veggies.

Carrot is a root vegetable and the wild carrot origins in Afghanistan. Already around 3000 BC carrots were cultivated in Europe! The first orange coloured carrots were cited in The Netherlands. Funny because orange is also their proud national color. Before that carrots were described as being red or yellow.

Ingredients
  • 1½ cup carrot in pieces (275 gram)
  • ½ cup pineapple pieces (75 gram)
  • ¾ tablespoon ginger root shavings
  • 1½ cup fat free yogurt (360 ml)
  • 8 ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
  1. Wash the carrots and chop them in small pieces, because carrots are pretty tough to blend. Grate little slices of a peeled ginger root and toss all the ingredients in the blender and blend till smooth.
